Euro Demolition & Dismantling were contracted to demolish and clear a redundant public house, located on a busy road-side.
The team managed the application of footpath closures with the local authority, as well as the section 80 notice of demolition. As principal contractor, we managed sub-contracted scaffolding works, which was erected with debris netting to ensure that no materials fell into the road, given that the site was located on the main route into the nearby town.
We opted to demolish the front side of the building by hand tools as opposed to mechanical methods, resulting in full preservation of the adjacent pavement. Further excavation works and levelling was undertaken around the site to provide additional land for future development. In addition, upon completion of the demolition of the building, a pallisade perimeter fence was constructed around the site upon instruction from the client.
All recoverable materials were separated and supplied to our accredited recycling partners. The site was left in a clean, tidy and presentable condition, ready for handover to the client.
